2011 Sesquicentennial Seminar: November 11-12, 2011. Where: North Texas State University, hosted by Dr. Richard McCaslin. Speakers: Dr. Richard McCaslin, Dr. Donald Frazier, Dr. Tom Cutrer, Dr. Susannah Ural, and Jack Waugh. We will be exploring what was occurring in Texas in 1861, from Secession through Securing the Western and Northern Frontiers and the Organization of Hood’s Texas Brigade.

June 12, 2010 in San Antonio.
Features a tour of the Confederate Cemetery, plus a lunch and meeting at The Bright Shawl. This was the home of Dr. C.E.R. King, a Confederate officer and was designed by Texas architect, Alfred Giles. The program will include a tour of the home, a talk on Dr. King and Giles and a presentation on Chaplain Davis, a 4th Texas Chaplain for whom there is a collection of materials at Trinity University.

Program: A presentation on the museum’s collections, with emphasis on Hood’s Texas Brigade and a tour of the museum. The Texas Division, UDC’s Hood’s Brigade Flag will be shown.
