Regular Member

If you are a direct or collateral descendant of a soldier who served in Hood's Texas Brigade, fill out the attached Application Form (a "fillable" .pdf form) and process as directed. Your application will be checked against the brigade rosters and upon acceptance you will receive a certificate. New Member applications are $40. Dues are $25 per year.

Definition of Collateral: For the Association, “collateral” is broadly interpreted to include not only brothers of the direct ancestor but also descendants of the siblings of the direct ancestor, i.e. cousins. By this broad interpretation of “collateral” the association hopes to encourage membership and increase its ranks.

Associate Member

If you have a keen interest in the Old Brigade and want to support the Association but do not have an ancestor who fought with the Brigade, you may join as an Associate Member, provided you are sponsored by a current member. Associate Members shall pay annual dues each year. To apply, fill out the attached Associate Membership Application Form (a "fillable" .pdf form) .
